School Day

The school day starts with drop off from 8:15-8:30 and pick up is at 11:30. Our average class size ranges from 10-15 students. The program is staffed by two teachers, one who is also our director.

School Year

School is in session from September through early June. We follow the Mascoma Valley Regional School District vacation calendar.

The activities at IRNS are developmentally appropriate and designed to help the children:

  • build social skills and develop self-confidence
  • develop vocabulary
  • recognize differences in sound, shape, size, and color
  • increase interest in literacy and numbers
  • improve motor coordination

Licensed Plus

IRNS is a Licensed Plus provider. Licensed Plus is a quality rating system that recognizes NH childcare programs for their efforts to improve the quality of care for young children, and rewards those programs that strive to improve their practices and staff qualifications. It also allows families to identify programs with higher quality.

Parental Involvement

Parental involvement in the program through committee service, field trips, fundraising, and classroom participation is appreciated and is an integral part of our program. IRNS believes that parent involvement creates an environment of shared learning and provides a vital home-school connection. We hope that this important connection will continue throughout the child's educational experience.
